Is the hardware of the Tytera MD380 absolutely the same like the Retevis RT3 and so can I use the same firmware files for the RT3 ?

retevis rt3 is the same as a tyt md380,,it looks the same ,but that may
be all it has im common with the md380
they are 1:1 the same... my personal experiences are confirming this.
Yes it's the same radio.
I use the same code plugs and firmware, including the recently modded
firmware.

ReplyDeleteYes...."Retevis" does not make ANYTHING. They simply rebadge other companies stuff with their brand name.
ReplyDeleteSee.....if you buy in lots of 300 or more from TYT, they will put damn near anything you want on the radio for a company name.
So if you want to market a * NEW * DR radio and call it a FUBAR-700 TYT will be happy to be your OEM connection.
The TYT md-380 and the Retevis RT3 are one and same radio just with a rebranding. Programming software, cables and firmware are usable between both units.
